(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, APRIL 03 - Noah Green, the attacker of Capitol Hill who killed an agent and was himself killed, has suffered in recent times from psychological disturbances.

CNN reports this, citing investigative sources who are investigating the man's profiles on various social media.

In the last few weeks Green would have published in particular some posts in which he said he was afraid of the FBI and the CIA.

From the social profiles attributable to him to Noah Green, the US media reported, he claimed to be afraid of the FBI and the CIA and to be in the sights of the federal government who wanted to gain control of his mind.

In several posts, an admirer and follower of Louis Farrakhan, an 87-year-old American religious, Muslim, leader of the Nation of Islam, was professed several times at the center of polemics for some of his speeches considered anti-Semitic, homophobic and misogynistic.

Green described Farrakhan as "Jesus, the Messiah" and his spiritual father.

A few hours before the attack, the 25-year-old, an infinity degree earned in 2019 at Christopher Newport University, Virginia, stated on Instagram that the US government is "enemy number one" for the African American community.

In an online abiography from his university days he wrote that the person in the story he wanted to meet was MalcolmX, and in some posts he signed himself 'Brother Noah X'.

The Nation of Islam is an Afro-American movement called itself a "militant Islamic sect", founded in July 1930 in Detroit.

Some of its leaders supported the so-called 'Afro-Islamism' theory that descendants of the victims of slavery should re-embrace the traditions and predominant religion of their country of origin, namely Islam.
