The investigation of the tragic crash in which the sisters Denis and Agustina Ojeda, aged 22 and 24, died, continues to add data that complicates the two defendants, Demian Pedreira and Alberto Weber.

Pedreira (26), owner of the Audi A1 that hit a light pole in Viamonte and Rivadavia, Lanús on Friday morning, is still hospitalized in the Evita Hospital in that district.

He has multiple wounds and is conscious.

The prosecutor in the case, Mariano Leguiza Capristo, charged him with "murder with eventual intent", a crime that provides a maximum penalty of

25 years in prison

.

It is believed that he was driving at the time of the crash.

This is how the car was after the crash.

Weber (28) was admitted to the British Hospital.

Sources in the case assured that his health is delicate.

At the moment he is charged as a

"necessary participant"

.

The main hypothesis is that he was in the passenger seat, although for the researchers that does not remove responsibility.

"Both had to represent the result of driving drinking alcohol and at double the speed allowed. In the videos that they uploaded to their networks it is seen that while the driver accelerates the passenger approves it. It was like a

rally co-driver,

" he explains to

Clarín

a source with access to the research.

And he adds: "In the videos that Pedreira uploaded to his Instagram account, I know that they are passing a glass of alcohol. That one marks the speedometer and the other

encourages him

. In the place where they collided there are signs that mark that the maximum is 40 They didn't kill someone else by chance. They didn't give a damn. "

Sisters Denis and Agustina Ojeda, fatal victims of the accident.

The prosecutor Leguiza Capristo, in charge of the UFI No. 5 of Lanús, requested the arrest of Pedreira and Weber and now the Court of Guarantees must decide.

Both are in police custody.

The instruction will be in the hands of the prosecutor Dario Rodríguez, on medical leave for coronavirus.

Next week the

toxicological tests would be carried out

to determine if both defendants were drunk at the time of the crash.

Neither of them declared yet, handicapped by their state of health.

Neither could Belén Castillo (19), a survivor of the crash.

They were in the back seat with the Ojeda sisters.

She is admitted to the Simply Evita Hospital, with a fractured hip and wrists, as well as other injuries to her face.

Alcohol, lack of control and death

Through the images taken by private security cameras and others from the municipality of Lanús, the investigators managed to reconstruct much of the route made by the Audi A1 in which the sisters Ojeda, Castillo and the two defendants were traveling.

"They walked all over the city. What we have confirmed is that Governor Irigoyen and Minister Brin went to look for Castillo. In the images you can see that the young woman climbs on the passenger side, because the car is three doors. We do not know if the Ojeda sisters were already inside, "explained an investigator.

Through the images it was confirmed that at that time Weber was driving, who was identified by a tattoo on his arm.

Minutes later, another security camera captured the moment in which the Audi A1 stopped at a service station, in Emilio Castro and Santa Fe. There Weber and Pedreira get off, put

a bottle and a glass

on the floor and change places. inside the car.

The owner of the car climbs on the driver's side.

The other videos incorporated into the file confirm, according to sources in the investigation, that the car was going at high speed.

"It seems as if the rest of the traffic was in

slow motion

. It is also seen that

several times they lost control

and were close to crashing," they detailed.

Firefighters had to cut the Audi A1 to remove the victims.

Spokesmen for the case explained that the Castillo identified Pedreira as the driver of the car, but clarified that he was in a state of shock and that these informal statements have no legal validity.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene after the crash could not determine where each was in the car.

The scene they found was shocking.

"They had to cut the entire car to be able to remove the victims.

The engine was thrown

. It was impossible to access the speedometer part because it was compacted," explained an investigator.
