Four hard weeks to lower the cases.

Four weeks of severe restrictions, which will try to be agreed between the governments of the Province of Buenos Aires and the City. That is what they are designing at the small table of the Buenos Aires government, commanded by Daniel Gollán and his second Nicolás Kreplak.

And it is also what Governor Axel Kicillof wants to ask Horacio Rodríguez Larreta this Sunday.

Unobjectionable sources from La Plata

explained it to

Clarín

.

"Time, we have to discuss time," they expressed from the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health.

In the morning, the idea of "a seven-week plan" circulated.

The scientific explanation is that the Buenos Aires government

considers that it takes at least four weeks to immunize the entire population over 60 years of age and that from then on it takes three more weeks for the last vaccinated to acquire immunity.

But, consulted by

Clarín

, they redoubled the bet.

"Four tough weeks, not phase 3, but something stronger and more severe," they said.

And they added, forcefully: "Phase 3 is going to take at least 3 to 4 months."

In June of last year, when phase 3 was going through, especially in the AMBA and in the province of Chaco,

the phase in which infections were doubled between 15 and 25 days was defined as such.

This is how it appeared in one of the slides that

Alberto Fernández himself released at the

time

"PHASE 3, GEOGRAPHICAL SEGMENTATION: there are provincial exceptions and it is segmented according to epidemiological criteria. In some areas, internal circulation is allowed but national prohibitions are maintained. Up to 50% of the population can be mobilized and the doubling time applies while of cases is between 15 and 25 days ".

The daily cases of Covid-19 in Argentina offer a scenario similar to the one that occurred in August of last year.

But today the acceleration of the curve is faster and nobody can determine when it will stop.

In addition, there is the factor of circulation of new strains, possibly more contagious and lethal.

The encouraging data is the plateau of deaths.

But the peak of more than 16,000 cases in the last week was very similar to the

18,000 infections last October, a

record day for the pandemic in the country.

Almost the entire country has fully recovered activity.

And this Monday, it is known that practically all the provinces will release restrictions.

The compartment of the pandemic, for the experts seems to be the same: it will grow in the AMBA and then radiate inside.

There is also an expectation with what happens with the flood of tourists that this Sunday

began to return from the Easter break.

In the province they read this: "It is time to stop everything and vaccinate."

They read that the arrival of vaccines is being systematized and they hope that the flow will not stop.

"There is no time to lose: strong restrictions and vaccination, there is no other plan. You have to discuss that with the City."

To date, more than 7 million vaccines have arrived in the country.

That number was reached after the arrival of a flight from Russia with almost 500 thousand doses of Sputnik V.

In addition, 5,817,845 doses are already distributed and yesterday 909,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine began to be transported to all the country's provinces.

Always according to official data.

According to data from the Public Vaccination Monitor of the Ministry of Health, up to this Sunday morning 4,234,505 doses were applied, of which 3,550,166 correspond to the first dose, and 684,339 to the second.
