.

The liturgy, which takes place in compliance with anti-Covid restrictions and with a restricted participation of the faithful, begins with the "Resurrexit" rite and sprinkling.

At the end of the Mass, the Pontiff, again from the Altar of the Chair (instead of, as usual, from the central Loggia of the Basilica), will pronounce the Easter Message and, after the announcement of the granting of the indulgence given by Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, archpriest of St. Peter and the Pope's Vicar for the Vatican City, will impart the "Urbi et Orbi" blessing.
