Vaiana: we met the voices of Disney

The exotic side will speak a lot to the French, since the film is set in Tahiti, takes up its customs, rites, way of life, particular links with the sea - a character in its own right -, fauna, flora.

Better still, "Vaiana" features the most daring and courageous heroine ever created by Disney.

The young girl, who faces different enemies without ever giving up and who does not have her tongue in her pocket while showing humor, has a strength of character that will charm all audiences: girls, boys and even their parents. .

The beautiful Tahitian makes a strong impression, and the film combines the best that the studio can show itself capable of: sumptuous images - John Musker and Ron Clements, the directors of "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin" were directly inspired by islands of Tahiti and Moorea - catchy songs, a scenario that does not leave a second of respite, endearing characters.

Among these, a degenerate rooster makes you howl with laughter.

“Vaiana, the legend of the end of the world”

FANTASTIC.

Less madness

At 9:05 p.m., on TF1.

Four high school students discover the cartridge of an old video game, Jumanji.

After inserting it into the console, they literally find themselves thrown inside the game, in the jungle, in the form of avatars.

And discover that they only have a limited number of lives, which could have dire consequences in the real world ...

Late sequel to the mythical “Jumanji” released in 1995, an adaptation of the children's novel of the same name with the late Robin Williams, and before a more comical third installment, this film takes up roughly the same story.

If it displays enough twists and turns to maintain the attention pleasantly, it is still far enough to rise to the level of its predecessor.

Main flaw: it lacks madness.

Jack Black may be hopping around, he inevitably turns out to be less crazy than Robin Williams and his constant gritty allusions end up boring.

DRAMA.

A heartbreaking true story

In “The Woman on the Board”, Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynold search for a painting stolen during World War II.

Robert Viglasky

At 8:55 p.m., in Arte.

It is above all because this film tells a true story that it is necessary to watch it.

That of Maria Altmann, a dashing and eccentric septuagenarian, immigrated to the United States, who asks a young lawyer from Los Angeles to help her recover one of the most famous paintings by the painter Gustav Klimt, exhibited in the largest museum from Austria.

Maria Altmann explains to him that the work belonged to her family and that it was confiscated by the Nazis, shortly after the annexation of Austria by Germany in 1938.

Halfway between the docudrama and the legal thriller, “La Femme au tableau” turns out to be a fascinating history lesson.

And still relevant today since many cultural goods stolen by German soldiers from Jewish families during World War II have still not been returned to them.

As for the actress Helen Mirren ("The Queen" by Stephen Frears), who plays Maria Altmann with a strong Austrian accent, she is once again astonishing.

And Ryan Reynolds, excellent in the skin of his lawyer.

REPORTAGE.

Those of Notre-Dame

At 2:50 p.m., on TF1.

In front of the gaping hole left by the collapse of the spire, the chief architect of Notre-Dame finds it difficult to contain his emotion: “I can't stand to see that… it's violent.

Fortunately, this site is a human wonder… ”The unpublished report of TF1 chose to highlight those which, for two years, make the happiness of Philippe Villeneuve, working for the security and the restoration of the“ big burn ”.

For 60 minutes, the testimonies, often captured in the heart of the action, follow one another.

The most moving are those of the craftsmen, already hard at work before the fire, for an ongoing restoration campaign.

Like Didier Cuiset, the head of the scaffolders, today forced to carefully remove the charred metal elements they had placed: "I took ten years in the face with the fire," he says.

Others, painting restorers, organ builders, master glassmakers, all express their pride and happiness in participating in the historic Notre-Dame project.

And we do not hide our own in discovering these passionate people who participate, each in their own way, in the resurrection.
