France is launching massive production of vaccines against the Covid-19 virus this week in order to meet demand.

At this manufacturer of active ingredients for pharmaceutical use, this site has been organized for a year to be ready to produce and control the nanolipid used in the manufacture of Moderna's messenger RNA vaccine.

It is a real industrial tour de force.

"It took two months to transform our production lines, explains Yves Michon, the site manager, where normally six are needed".

On the site, 70 of the company's 180 employees are dedicated to the vaccine.

In Europe, 53 sites like this are involved in vaccine production.

The doses thus produced should make it possible to obtain collective immunity for Europeans this summer.
