Coma plot, cliffhanger tension and a murder with a bow and arrow: The young Saar "crime scene" once again takes risks beyond the classic television thriller.

Investigators Leo Hölzer (Vladimir Burlakov, left) and Adam Schürk (Daniel Sträßer): Where is Tarzan from Saarbrücken?

The scenario:

Tarzan in Saarbrücken.

In the jungle near the state capital, a disheveled young man jumps back and forth with a bow and arrow between deciduous trees and boulders;

a high school graduate sneaks into the woods to meet the beautiful savage.

A short time later she is lying in the moss with deep wounds and upturned innards.

Above all, the classmates of the disfigured victim come under suspicion.

Hell job for the inspectors Leo Hölzer (Vladimir Burlakov) and Adam Schürk (Daniel Sträßer), who now have to expose the lies of the high school students while they try to keep their own common lie alive.

The highlight:

This »crime scene« relies more rigorously on horizontal storytelling than any before.

The second episode about the young Saar team of investigators ties in directly with the first, which was broadcast exactly a year ago at Easter - at that time it was learned that Hölzer had beaten the violent father of childhood friend Schürk into a coma in self-defense 15 years earlier.

Now the old man wakes up and the question arises whether he can remember the deed.

Jungle scenery, coma plot and cliffhanger construction - that it all goes together is proven by the filmmakers' enormous narrative art.

The picture:

Young savage on the ledge: At the opening we see the Saar-Tarzan screaming down into the green valley.

An attitude that you know from many jungle adventures.

You've never seen her in a crime thriller.

The dialogue:

A reporter interviews the awakened father of Inspector Schürk, who is sitting in a wheelchair in front of his house.

Reporter: "15 years in a coma - how are you feeling?"

Father: “It was just a long night for me.

But when I woke up, I was an old man. "

The song:

"A Message to You Rudy" from the specials.

The legendary Ska-Schunkler rings out when investigators Hölzer and Schürk discuss the case at the pub kicker.

The music is so casual, the cops are so unrelenting: One shortcoming of the Saar “crime scene” remains that the inspectors are only allowed to give the guys stubborn cues.

More has to be done.

The review:

9 out of 10 points.

Despite small weaknesses: a monstrously spun killer puzzle that doesn't end after 90 minutes.
