(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 05 - At least 101 deaths caused by the sudden floods and landslides that hit Indonesia and neighboring East Timor yesterday: the BBC reports.
Torrential rains, landslides and water leaking from some dams have submerged thousands of homes, causing 80 victims in Indonesia alone, where the most affected area remains the island of Flores, east of the country, and where dozens of people are still missing. Meanwhile, the Timor-East authorities report at least 21 deaths concentrated mainly in the capital Dili of the small island state. (HANDLE).
