The almost summery temperatures before the Easter weekend remain a short episode, the end of winter was probably deceived: Until at least Thursday, the daily maximum temperatures will only be in the single-digit range, predicts the German Weather Service (DWD).
A persistent cold front over Germany will ensure cool and very changeable weather with an unpleasant mix of rain, snow and sleet showers in the coming days.
"The weather won't calm down a bit until Friday," said a DWD meteorologist.
And next weekend it will hardly be warmer than 13 to 14 degrees.
On Tuesday, according to the DWD, the maximum values fluctuate between two and seven degrees, in the higher mountains there is even slight permafrost again.
On Wednesday there is also a brisk westerly to northwesterly wind, which brings stormy gusts especially to the coasts.
