In the Easter egg Italian tennis finds another record, one destined to remain in the annals.

The success in the Marbella challenger brings Gianluca Mager back to the top 100 of the world rankings, where the Azzurri are now ten, for the first time in history.

A figure that once again certifies the extraordinary health of the tricolor movement, also embellished by a top 10, two top 20 in the world rankings and by the continuous progress of the Next Gen Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti, with his just 19 years old the most young player in the Top 100.

Confirmation on the tenth seat for Matteo Berrettini (returning to the circuit this week, in Cagliari, in doubles with his brother Jacopo) in November 2019, forcefully entering the Top 10 to crown a season in continuous ascent - fourth Italian in the Open Era to succeed in this feat and third for record in the standings behind Panatta (number 4) and Barazzutti (number 7) and in front of Fognini (number 9), while Fabio Fognini, now in 18th place, loses one position.

The final in Miami - the first in a Masters 1000 - allows Jannik Sinner, despite the bitterness for his knockout, to earn eight more places and jump to number 23, still retouching his best ranking (116 points separate from the Top 20), while Lorenzo Sonego is stable in 34th place.

Stefano Travaglia (69th) climbs up a step, Salvatore Caruso (87th) loses two positions, while Musetti is up by four, settling at number 90, also retouching his best ranking.

Immediately behind him is Gianluca Mager (91 °) thanks to the fourth challenger title in his career, preceding Marco Cecchinato (93 °, -3) and Andreas Seppi, up one place (96 °), precisely the tenth Italian in the first hundred of the ranking, to equal a power like the United States (only Spain and France have 11).
