Museums, colleges and café terraces reopened Monday April 5 in Portugal, more than two months after their closure. This is the second

"It is the first day of the return to freedom", rejoices André Tavares, savoring his cup of coffee on the terrace while enjoying the sun and the panoramic view over the center of Lisbon.

Like other Portuguese, this Monday, April 5, he benefits from the reopening planned by the second stage of the country's deconfinement plan.

Two months after their closure, museums, colleges and café terraces are once again welcoming to the public.

"For me it's the best day of the year, it reminds me of how beautiful Lisbon is," says Vadim Migirim, a 51-year-old Russian tourist who was one of the handful of visitors who spent Monday morning on walls of Sao Jorge Castle, a fortress overlooking the historic districts of the Portuguese capital and among the most visited monuments in the country.

"We just hope that this happiness will continue and that we will not go back", adds Carlo Martinot, happy to share a beer with his wife.

"We have to succeed in being responsible and being careful in order to be able to enjoy the summer".
