The family of a 63-year-old man, who died in March in Haute-Savoie of "multiple thromboses" after receiving a first injection of AstraZeneca's anti-Covid vaccine, has filed a complaint against X for "manslaughter", reveals the Annecy parquet this Tuesday.
"The complaint was filed with me urgently this Tuesday morning," confirms Véronique Denizot, the prosecutor of the Republic of Annecy.
On March 7, Joël Crochet, 63, receives a first dose of AstraZeneca during a mass vaccination operation organized in Annecy.

Thirty minutes after the injection, he felt quite severe joint pain and then respiratory problems,

explains his brother Jean-Luc to France Bleu.
The next day, the sixty-year-old went to his doctor who prescribed treatment.
A week later, Joël Crochet's state of health suddenly worsens.
Ten days after the injection, he was hospitalized.
He will die on Thursday March 18.
"Shedding light" on the death of his brother
An autopsy reveals "several appearances of thrombosis on vital parts, such as the kidneys, liver, and brain," says his brother, who is not "anti-vaccine, far from it".

“In the space of a day and a half, he multiplied problems after problems, thromboses on vital organs ... then he was placed in intensive care.
It was dazzling, ”says his brother in a video published by Le Dauphiné Libéré on his website.
According to the regional daily, which revealed the information, the complaint was recorded by the gendarmes of Seynod on Friday April 2, a little more than two weeks after the death of this sixty-year-old.

These complaints could be examined jointly by the Paris prosecutor's office as part of a grouping.
Otherwise, the Annecy prosecutor left the door open to “referral to an investigating magistrate”.
Relatives of the victim reported the tragedy to the National Medicines Safety Agency (ANSM), which ordered additional information to clarify the causes of his death.

Tuesday, Rogerio Pinto de Sa Gaspar, the director of the World Health Organization (WHO), estimated that the risk / benefit balance continued to weigh "largely" in favor of the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) said it was still assessing the safety of the vaccine in light of this new information.
