Almost no one can say no to a delicious apple pie.
How would you like to try a French variant - the Breton apple pie?
The sheer number of recipes shows just how versatile apples can be used in a cake: the fruit has a lot to offer, from applesauce crumble cake with vanilla pudding to covered apple pie and Swedish apple tart.

particularly popular here.
The special thing about this variant is the

Recipe: How to bake the Breton apple pie
Let the butter melt and cool for the batter.
Beat the eggs, sugar and calvados until frothy and stir in the butter.
Mix the flour and baking powder and stir both into the batter.
Grease the springform pan and dust with flour.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Fill half of the batter into the greased springform pan.
Then spread some of the peeled apple slices on top.
Then the second half of the dough is poured over it.
Spread the remaining apples in a circle on the dough.
For the icing, the butter is melted and mixed in with sugar.
When the whole thing has cooled down, add the egg.
Finally, stir in the almonds and distribute the finished topping on the cake.
Place the cake in the oven for about 45 minutes.
Cover halfway through so it doesn't turn too brown.
If you don't feel like having almonds, you can alternatively simply
sprinkle
your Breton apple pie with
powdered and vanilla sugar
.
When children eat, they also have a
splash of apple or lemon juice
instead of the calvados
.
Good Appetite!
