Since Monday, the star of French cinema has appeared in a spot for Le Bon Coin. A mini-film, directed by filmmaker Eric Lartigau,

We knew she had found the movie sets.

But it's the first time she's appeared onscreen since her stroke in November 2019. And she's beaming.

Since Monday, Catherine Deneuve has been the star of a particularly funny advertisement for Le Bon Coin.

The merchant site, which had already created the buzz in 2013 by hiring rocker Iggy Pop for one of its spots, features her as ... a collector of chickens, ceramic and earthenware.

Which is, by the way, true.

The short film was directed by Eric Lartigau, the director of "La Famille Bélier", delighted to find the great Catherine in good shape after her major health problems.

“She's fine, she's still just as lively, she was happy to shoot again just after finishing Emmanuelle Bercot's film, listening, curious, and with me, she had confidence.

We worked very well, we all had a lot of fun… ”

After having considered several scenarios, the final concept, which consisted in showing that Catherine Deneuve is an "inveterate bargain hunter", came from Eric Lartigau.

“I have known Catherine since 2001, she then played in my film

The Man Who Wanted to Live His Life

.

We see each other regularly, and I know that she loves flea markets and antique shops, confirms the filmmaker.

So I went to see her with this project, telling her:

it's for you!

"

His coming secret until the shooting

"She does not lack humor or self-mockery, because she said yes right away", reports Anne Quemin, communication director of Bon Coin.

On the set, which took place in early March for two days, his partners only learned the identity of the leading role at the last moment.

“We had the script, but it only specified

the celebrity

,” recalls the actor Matthieu Penchinat.

We only found out the day before the shoot.

So, impressive?

Not really because, according to the actor, “she does not try to impress, she asks a lot of questions to technicians and other actors.

We were respectful, it's Catherine Deneuve all the same, but she is very simple in her relationship with others.

behind the scenes at Bon Coin

For Le Bon Coin, the goal was twofold: "To mark the spirits, for our fifteenth birthday, by reminding us that we are pioneers in the circular economy and to give a gift to our 29 million monthly users, by showing them that everyone people use the site, even the stars, ”lists Anne Quemin.

All this has a cost, of course: "It is the budget of a big communication campaign", evades Anne Quemin.

The campaign will run until May 16 on all television channels, and social networks, where the film already accumulated tens of thousands of views on YouTube on Tuesday twenty-four hours after its launch.
