A young man from Wipperfürth in North Rhine-Westphalia tried on Good Friday to avoid being prosecuted for a breach of the Corona rule - and took an enormous risk: he fell from a balcony on the fourth floor while trying to escape from the police and suffered serious injuries.
According to the police, the 22-year-old met three other young men in an apartment on Friday evening to celebrate together.
Around 11.30 p.m., a neighbor informed the police about disturbing the peace and violating the Corona regulations.
When the officers rang the doorbell, two of the men were hiding on the balcony.
While the police in the apartment were talking to the remaining two men, the 22-year-old suddenly fell into the depths.
He is said to have previously tried to climb onto a neighboring balcony.
The young man fell four floors down on a lawn in front of the house and was seriously injured.
He was admitted to a Cologne clinic.
