13 years of pretty bright spotlight, and almost five years (yes, only five have passed, and for us it feels like fifty too) of extreme exposure to the sun’s rays of the gossip and entertainment world have left Megan Merkel undeciphered.

has leaks and there are interviews and there are scandals and scandals, but there is no cracking.

The Duchess (actually a Duchess with limited bail, with a degree but no authority, or is it the other way around?) Still maintains a stable and tough wall around her, manages to keep the family strong and cohesive, and provides us all with just what it takes to observe.

Like for example, her secret ingredient when she comes to make a cake.

A few weeks after the explosive interview she gave with her husband to Oprah Winfrey, Merkel returned to the spotlight relatively elegantly, hosting volunteers from World Central Kitchen, and at the same time announcing a wider collaboration of the family charity with the amazing food organization led by Chef Jose Andreas.

"We teamed up to provide meals and echo a message of gratitude and support to Chicago residents," the organization's Twitter account tweeted at the end of the meeting, "and the dessert was a lemon cake and olive oil baked by the Duchess - with lemons from her private garden!"

However, given that the world we live in requires glamor and glitter even when talking about the most impressive activity, surfers were interested in one specific thing.

"Tell me about Megan's cake," one respondent demanded, "I'm sure it was good."

The organization's official response required only one word - "Delicious".

"Sweet surprise."

Merkel's dessert makes news:

Merkel has previously conquered the culinary headlines around the world, once with a banana-hail she aspired to in Australia and managed to make the long way to the Walla!

Food, and once again with a slightly more complex - but no less successful - recipe for "pasta in a sexy sauce".

In this specific case no royal recipe was provided, but our private reservoirs have once again proved their effectiveness, with a lemon cake in a great sense.

It unfortunately does not have lemons from the Duchess's yard, but it has everything you need next to the coffee.
