PS5: Final Fantasy XIV beta available mid-April

Released in 2010 on PC, Final Fantasy XIV will soon make its appearance on Sony's next-gen console.

Already available on PS4 since 2014, the flagship online role-playing game from Japanese publisher Square Enix will indeed be launched in a few days on PS5 in the form of an open beta.

The final version should go on sale as soon as this beta closes, sometime in the fall.

The exact release date will be revealed via The Lodestone, the official FFXIV website.

If you have taken part in the beta and want to continue your full game adventure by purchasing a monthly subscription, all of your data will be transferred automatically.

The beta will give you access to the same content as the free trial currently offered to PC and PS4 players.

Final Fantasy XIV: How to download the beta on PS5?

The beta is open to everyone, so all you need to do is go to PlayStation Store on April 13 through your PS5 menu.

Once on the game page, all you have to do is select the option "Final Fantasy XIV free trial" to start the download.

In beta, you will have access to a lot of content.

Create up to 8 characters that you can evolve to level 60. You will be free to progress through the original story of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and you will also be able to enjoy the first expansion Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward .

The latter includes new professions, a new breed, as well as flying mounts.
