Since the federal-state meeting on March 3, employers have been obliged to test their employees for Corona.
But so far only very few rapid tests have been offered.
In the face of the 3rd wave, corona rapid tests should serve as an effective means of getting the spread of the mutated SARS-CoV-2 virus under control.
Therefore, at the federal state meeting on March 3, employers * were called on to enable their employees to take a free Corona quick test at work - at least once a week.
But despite urgent appeals from politics, the “voluntary commitment” seems to fall on deaf ears with some bosses.

Corona quick test from the employer: Only 23 percent of all employees received an offer
As a current survey by the Institute for Economic and Social Sciences (WSI) shows, very few employees have so far been offered a test offer in the workplace.
"Only 23 percent of the employees surveyed reported in the second half of March that all face-to-face employees in their company can already do a quick test at least once a week," says the WSI report.
Another 6 percent of employees report that they have already been offered rapid tests, "but not yet to the extent intended".
At least 17 percent of the employees surveyed have already announced the introduction of rapid tests by the employer, but have not yet been used.
This means that
more than half of all employees surveyed have so far neither been offered nor announced a corona rapid test
- a total of 54 percent.
A total of 2,832 data sets were evaluated for the study.
"Corona rapid tests are a useful addition to occupational health protection wherever employees cannot work from home," explains Dr.
Elke Ahlers, WSI expert for work and health in a press release.
"They
can help to identify outbreaks in the workplace at an early stage
or to prevent them completely."

Operational corona rapid tests in Berlin and Saxony are already mandatory
In politics, there is a constant discussion about compulsory quick tests for employers that go beyond voluntary self-commitment.
The federal government had already announced that it would decide at the beginning of April whether the voluntary commitment of the economy to offer rapid tests was sufficient.
Some federal states, on the other hand, have already created facts: In Saxony and Berlin, test offers for employees in presence are already mandatory.
