British actor Paul Ritter, best known for his roles in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", "James Bond: Quantum of Consolation" and the British sitcom "Friday Dinner", has died at the age of 54 after a battle with brain cancer.

His agent confirmed the news of his death today (Tuesday) in a statement to the British Guardian: "Sadly, we confirm that Paul Ritter passed away last night.
