It is via its Twitter Marketing account that the social network launched a survey in which it invited Internet users to elect the brand posting the best tweets between Skittles and Microsoft.

The American giant has thus made a commitment to its community by promising that in case of victory,

the firm would launch into the marketing of mini-fridges with a design inspired by its Xbox Series X.

Winner with 50.5% of the votes, Microsoft is expected to keep its word by starting production later this year.

For now, no information has been given regarding the release date, price, or release system.

We will therefore have to wait to find out if this Xbox Series X mini-fridge will only be sold for pre-order or available to the general public.

Microsoft: Xbox Series X mini fridge becomes reality

This mini-fridge project has its origins in the mockery addressed by players during the presentation of the new next-gen console from Microsoft.

Indeed, because of its particular rectangular design, the Xbox Series X has often been compared to a refrigerator by the community.

This is not the first time that its manufacturer has used this image for advertising purposes, since three real Xbox Series X fridges were made in 2020. One of them was won by an Internet user, while that the other two were given to YouTuber iJustine and rapper Snoop Dogg.

This time around, Aaron Greenberg, Marketing Manager at Microsoft, has pledged to send the first Xbox Series X mini-fridge to Skittles.

He also said that the latter would be "filled with games".
