Alitalia: Giovannini, Government-EU negotiations are not stalled

"The negotiation" between the government and the EU commission on Alitalia "is not stalled". This was stated by the Minister of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, at the question time in the Chamber, explaining that "the government is implementing all the necessary initiatives so that the new national air carrier is able to respond to the demand for transport, but also to compete with other operators in the sector, safeguarding employment levels as much as possible ".

    Regarding the slots, according to the sector regulations, "they can be transferred in the case of total or partial acquisition, when the slots are directly connected with the acquired air carrier", explained the minister.
