Covid: 627 deaths, never so many since 5/1. Positives date back

There are 13,708 coronavirus test positives in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 7,767. Buffers have risen significantly after the sharp decline of the weekend, up to 339,939. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 07 - There are 13,708 coronavirus test positives in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 7,767.

The buffers have risen significantly after the sharp decline of the weekend, up to 339,939.

On the other hand, there are 627 victims in one day (yesterday421).

A similar number of deaths had not occurred since January 5, when there were 649. Yesterday, the molecular and antigenic tests were 112,962, about a third of what they are today.

The positivity rate is 4%, yesterday it was 6.9%, so down 2.9% in 24 hours.


    There are 3,683 patients hospitalized in intensive care, an increase of 60 units compared to yesterday in the daily balance between entries and exits, while the daily entrances to resuscitation were 276 (yesterday 221).

In the ordinary wards, however, 29,316 people were hospitalized, down 21 units compared to yesterday.


    In total the cases since the beginning of the epidemic are 3,700,393, the deaths 112,374.

The currently positive are 547,837 (-7,868 compared to yesterday), the healed and discharged 3,040,182 (+20,927), in house isolation there are 514,838 people (-7,787).
