(ANSA) - NEW YORK, APRIL 07 - Oscar nominees and their guests can be considered 'essential workers' and will therefore be able to participate in the events scheduled for the award ceremony scheduled for April 25th.
In a letter sent to participants by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, it is specified that the status of 'essential workers' grants some exemptions from the restrictions envisaged to contain the pandemic, however it does not lead to exemption from quarantine.
In particular, guests must arrive in Los Angeles by April 17 if they come from overseas and high-risk countries and by April 20 if they come from the United States or low-risk countries.
They will also have to undergo up to three molecular tests during the week before the ceremony.
To ensure maximum safety, the 93rd edition of the iOscar has been organized as a film set and will take place mainly at Union Station in Los Angeles with some events also in the traditional location of the DolbyTheatre.
