“We are a week ahead (of) the goal I had set.
It's a very good performance, France vaccinates a lot, ”he added.
The government had planned to vaccinate with at least a first dose 10 million people by mid-April.
At a daily rate reaching 200,000 to 300,000 vaccinations, this objective was reached a few days in advance.

"And this is due to (...) all those who are 7 days a week on the bridge in the service of this great national cause which is called vaccination and which will allow us to get out of this crisis," he said. he declared, after his visit to a vaccination center in Nogent-sur-Marne, in Val-de-Marne.
"We now have the target of 20 million, and I have no doubt that thanks to this general mobilization we will achieve it", assured the Prime Minister.
This new threshold should be crossed in mid-May.
And the 30 million in mid-June.
AstraZeneca vaccine: "Overcome reluctance"
In the vaccination center, the Prime Minister spoke to a doctor about the AstraZeneca vaccines, which arouse reluctance due to some very rare side effects.
"You are in the best position to overcome reluctance, to explain to your own patients and to convince them" about the AstraZeneca vaccine, the Prime Minister told him.
"This is what we do," replied the doctor, who judged "tiny" the number of cases of thrombosis after an injection of AstraZeneca, compared to the general population.
