Asked about the subject, the Minister of Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, evokes two tracks to explain this failure.
He first points to the French OVHCloud, host of online services and whose data storage center in Strasbourg was destroyed by a fire in early March.
Then, he mentions "
a cyberattack from abroad
".

Thursday morning, the Cned site was again unavailable, with the same explanation.

All the Cned sites and MaclasseALaMaison platforms have once again been the targets of cyber attacks since the night of April 7 to 8, 2021
", explains the establishment, which specifies that "
the services have gradually returned to normal since 9.45 am
".
