Certain oils are even said to help you lose weight.
It sounds paradoxical: Edible oils in particular are supposed to make a significant contribution to shedding pounds.
But not every oil is suitable during a diet, says nutritionist Dr.
Claudia Miersch out.
So you should avoid trans fats and saturated fatty acids
if you want to lose weight, says Miersch.
The former can be found in sweet baked goods and fried potato dishes, the latter in coconut oil, palm oil and sausage.
Native oils, on the other hand, should not be missing in any diet, according to the nutrition expert on the

These are oils that are pressed from seeds, kernels or fruits of a plant without the supply of heat.
One also speaks of cold-pressed oils

These contain little saturated fatty acids, but monounsaturated fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids, which have a positive effect on fat metabolism and are supposed to help you lose weight.
Rapeseed to walnut oil: five edible oils that help you lose weight
Nutritionist Claudia Miersch sees these five natural oils as ideal diet companions:
Rapeseed oil
linseed oil
Hemp oil
olive oil
Walnut oil
These would not only fill you up, but
also have an anti-inflammatory effect
due to a proportion of
omega-3 fatty acids and promote the breakdown of liver fat
.
Most of the five oils can also be produced regionally, which is kind to the environment.
However, one should not enjoy the oils in excess during a diet: Nutrition expert Miersch recommends no more than two tablespoons of the above oils per day.
The following tips can also help you lose weight, says Miersch:
Avoid processed foods and fast foods
Eat full with sufficient fat and protein with main meals and no snacks in between
incorporate daily exercise into everyday life
Don't miss out on enjoyment - if you don't treat yourself to something tasty, you are more likely to break off the diet
at least five servings of fruits and vegetables daily
