The Palestinian premier, Mohammad Shtayyeh, hailed the US decision to resume financial aid to the UN agency for refugees (Unrwa) and for the development of the West Bank and Gaza.
At the same time he appealed to the US administration to work with the Peace Quartet to "open a new political horizon in the direction of the liberation of Palestine in the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the capital".
"We are not looking only at the resumption of aid, but at the establishment of strong political relations with the US".
