(ANSA) - ISTANBUL, APRIL 08 - Turkey condemns Mario Draghi's words about President Erdogan, whom he defines as a "dictator" and summons the Italian ambassador to Ankara, Massimo Gaiani.
"We strongly condemn the uncontrolled claims of the Italian Prime Minister appointed Mario Draghi about our president-elect" Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The statements by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan show "unacceptable populist rhetoric". Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said again on Twitter.
"We reject these ugly and uncontrolled claims to the sender", added the head of diplomacy in Ankara.
