(ANSA) - MILAN, 8 APRIL - "I am absolutely convinced, even taking into account the data that emerged today, that all those over 80 will be able to receive at least one dose by Sunday."
This was stated by the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, interviewed by the Lombardy Regional Administrative Court.
"There is dissatisfaction stemming from the fact that the numbers we thought were not reached, in the sense that membership for the 75 to 79 age bracket was lower than we thought," added the president.
Lower numbers probably linked to the distrust of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which, among other things, has been recommended since yesterday especially for the population over 60 years of age.
"It is a recommendation that has been given to us by the government and to which we will abide - added Fontana -. It is clear that in the meantime we must reshape the modalities of our vaccination campaign" (ANSA).
