Two men are supposed to go to prison for a long time for blasting machines in several federal states.
The Braunschweig regional court sentenced the two 32 and 27-year-old defendants to nine years' imprisonment each on Friday.
The public prosecutor's office had demanded ten years imprisonment in each case, the defense lawyers pleaded for lower sentences.
The duo had previously admitted the 16 alleged acts with loot of more than one million euros in the process.
The judge described the confessions as credible in her reasoning for the verdict.
However, both perpetrators had several previous convictions and were "well prepared and professionally" when the ATMs were blown up.
Between November 2018 and March 2020, the two defendants struck in Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Bavaria, Thuringia, Bremen and Saarland.
The investigators only came on the trail of the men after officials from different federal states had exchanged views.
The two were arrested in July 2020.
An appeal against the judgment is still possible.
