In the Congo, more than 40 people were killed and around 30 injured in a traffic accident.
The accident occurred on Thursday evening about 860 kilometers east of the capital Kinshasa in the province of Kwilu, as announced by Governor Willy Itsundala Asang.
During an overtaking maneuver, a bus with dozens of passengers, which is also said to have been loaded with palm oil and high-percentage alcohol, caught fire.
The governor said the people were trapped in the bus and burned alive.
Identification is difficult.
Of the 30 or so survivors, nine, including the driver, were seriously injured.
They should be taken to hospitals in the capital.
The exact numbers of the victims vary in the reports of the news agencies.
