(ANSA) - NEW YORK, APRIL 09 - Almost five years after his death, Prince's unpublished music will be released on July 30th.
A small part of the treasure contained in the basement safe in Paisley Park, the compound-studio of the genius of Minneapolis, will be part of the album 'Welcome 2America' with twelve unreleased tracks recorded in 2010.
According to what declared by the singer's heirs, 'Welcome 2America' it is a testament to his concerns, hopes and vision for a changing society, and portends an age of political division, misinformation and a protracted struggle for racial justice.
Prince's conclusion is that America is a land of free and a home to slaves.
According to sources close to the artist, the safe contains thousands of unreleased songs, enough for an album a year for a hundred years.
It also appears that 70% of his music has never been released and that his best production is still under lock and key.
Prince died on April 21, 2016 from an overdose of opioid drugs.
