Rebibbia revolt on anti-Covid measures, 46 detained for trial

For the riots that took place in the Rebibbia prison, on 9 March 2020 following the measures taken to contain the spread of Covid during the first lockdown, 46 detainees were sent to trial. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 09 - For the riots that took place in the Rebibbia prison, on March 9, 2020 following the measures taken to contain the spread of Covid during the first lockdown, 46 detainees were sent to trial.

This was decided by the gup of Rome, setting the trial for next June 30th.

Four other defendants chose to be tried with the abbreviated rite.

Prosecutors Eugenio Albamonte and Francesco Cascini contest, for various reasons, crimes of damage, kidnapping, robbery and devastation.
