The redemption of the degree with the discount, which will last until the end of the year, could be extended.
The hypothesis, anticipated by the Messenger, is confirmed by government sources.
The idea would be to carry out a measure introduced with the 'decree' of 2019 which regulated Citizenship Income and Quota 100, edited by the then Undersecretary of Labor Claudio Durigon.
The three-year trial expires on December 31, 2021 but, in view of the next maneuver at the end of the year, it is already being considered to extend the measure that has met with some success.
The law provides that the years of university studies can be redeemed for retirement purposes without age limits, but provided that they have not paid contributions before 1996 and that they are enrolled in compulsory general insurance (employees, self-employed or separately managed).
At the moment, members of the professional pension funds are excluded.
It is possible to redeem up to 5 years of university, at a cost based on salary but subsidized and which averaged around 5,200 euros per year.
This figure can also be deducted at 50%.
The application must be made to INPS and the amount can be paid in a single solution or in a maximum of 120 monthly installments of not less than 30 euros.
