Teachers of all ages were able to make an appointment to be vaccinated against Covid-19 at a large vaccination center in Gre

Several teachers testified that they had made an appointment with the Grenoble University Hospital to be vaccinated against Covid-19 by highlighting their professional quality, following a past message from "word of mouth" assuring them that it was possible this week.

But this Monday morning, they were turned away from the giant vaccination center installed in the Alpexpo exhibition center, south of Grenoble, they say, confirming information from the regional daily Dauphiné libéré.

After two confirmations of the appointment by SMS, "I arrived this afternoon".

"I had the right to a vigil who told me that it was not possible for the teachers", testifies Corinne, 55 years old, professor of schools near Grenoble.

“So I didn't insist.

"

“Around 3:30 pm, I received a call from the CHU switchboard: my appointment (for tomorrow) is canceled,” testifies on condition of anonymity a 47-year-old school teacher.

“I oscillate between anger and shame;

It's really amateurish ”, judge this union member at SNUipp-FSU, who assures us that he had repeated to be well under 50 years old when making an appointment.

He argues that "about thirty colleagues" around him are affected by this last minute cancellation.

"A confusion may have appeared"

Friday, "a message was circulating on the (mailing) lists saying that teachers were priority for vaccination, with a number of the CHU to contact to make an appointment", confirms Anne-Marie Guillaume, departmental secretary of the teaching union Snes- FSU.

The rectorate said he was “quite surprised by what happened” and said he had not sent “any communication inviting teachers to make an appointment by any means whatsoever”.
