A new step has been taken in the vaccine strategy against Covid-19 in France.
From this Monday, all people aged 55 and over can now be vaccinated.
"200,000 doses (...) with a week in advance" are expected this Monday in the country, announced yesterday the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, at our colleagues of the
Sunday Newspaper.
Another novelty this Monday, for an amount of six euros, anyone over 15 years old can obtain a self-test in a pharmacy, and therefore test themselves at home if they do not feel "any symptoms" and are not. "Contact case", however, specifies the Ministry of Health.
Less invasive than a PCR test, it does not however replace the latter in the event of a positive result.

Two French among the religious kidnapped in Haiti.
Seven Catholic clerics were kidnapped on Sunday morning near the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, said the spokesperson for the Bishops' Conference.
Among them are a French nun and a priest.
A local armed gang is suspected and a ransom of one million dollars has been demanded by the kidnappers.

Agreement between Veolia and Suez.
Veolia and Suez announced on Monday that they had reached an agreement for a merger.
The two French giants of water and waste thus put an end to a media and legal battle lasting several months.
The companies have managed to agree on a price of 20.50 euros per Suez share, initially planned at 18 euros by Veolia, but deemed insufficient by its rival.
The objective of this merger is to constitute a "world champion of ecological transformation", according to a statement from Veolia.
