For ten large cities, a videofotogallery with images of the twentieth century and an author's story on key events of local identity and history.

The selection of accompanying music and performers is by Adriana Tessier.

“Italy, as it was”, is introduced by a presentation by Michele Smargiassi, journalist and photography expert, by a comment by the writer Federica Iacobelli and by an interview with President Van Straten collected by Franco De Felice.

In the first episode Roberto Roscani will tell about “disappeared Rome”: the urban change that took place at the beginning of the twentieth century and then during fascism, when entire areas were redesigned to celebrate the splendor of the capital.

The series will continue on a weekly basis with Naples, Genoa, Bologna, Bari, Turin, Venice and Florence.
