The plague of the corona, the cancellation of performances and the closure of the sky stopped at once all the plans of Liraz Russo ("Static") and Ben-El Tavori to conquer America.

But trust Static and Ben-El that no epidemic will really stop them.

From home, too, they continued to work, filming clips and recording collaborations and songs that provided tens of millions of listens and views from around the world, influential labels with millions of followers, and quite a bit of optimism about their continued international breakthrough.

In a solemn interview with Israel Today's Independence Day supplement, which will be published the next day, they talk about their demands in the American market.

"We're filming a clip here, and the team in the US is sending us a response: 'It's not sexy enough,' 'Static is amused. ? '"

Ben-El:" I was wearing an open shirt and they asked,' Why is he wearing a shirt? '"

Static: "In the United States, we have a conflict.

We, as a choice, believed that the product 'Static and Ben-El' would not come from sexuality, but from music.

In pop and rap world sexuality is super extroverted, in a super exaggerated way, and we from the beginning were against it.

We have no dancers on stage, there have always been only male dancers.

We did not go to such places, so as not to sell this sex. "

At the end of the month, they will appear through James Corden's Lightnight Zoom.

"It's fun to get positive feedback from people at these levels," Basot Static reports.

"When Will IM heard the chorus and got excited like crazy, it's a huge compliment. Anyway, we wrote the chorus. What are you looking for? The confirmation that you fit the global and huge audience you are addressing."

The two also talk about their dreams ("Grammy or my mother"), about the media probing into Ben-El's life and his relationship with his son Thu Prince, about Static's upcoming wedding, and also why they are not ready to talk about politics.

The full interview will be published on Wednesday in the Independence Day supplement of "Israel Today"
