A person was killed and another wounded by bullets, this Monday at the beginning of the afternoon, in front of the Henry Dunant hospital in the XVIth arrondissement of Paris, where the shooter then fled on a two-wheeler, according to corroborating sources.

Several shots were reported.

The two people hit by bullets were taken care of by hospital staff.

"One person died and there is a serious injury," said the firefighters.

The second victim, a woman working as a security guard at the hospital, was admitted to intensive care, according to our sources.

"This is not a terrorist act, nor is it an attack on the vaccination center," said Francis Szpiner, the Mayor of the 16th arrondissement of Paris.

"It is probably a settling of scores," he continues.

No information was given at this stage by the investigators on the circumstances of the shootings, in front of this private hospital administered by the French Red Cross.

This establishment, located near the Porte de Saint-Cloud, is a geriatric hospital and also currently a vaccination center against Covid-19.

An investigation for "murder and attempted murder" was opened and entrusted to the criminal brigade of the Regional Directorate of the Judicial Police.
