Applicants go through the horses in the hunt for the best job.

However, mistakes in the application are really bad for recruiters.

When applying * it means: Bring what it takes.

After all, an application is always an advertisement in its own right.

However, in the process, applicants repeatedly make mistakes that are unforgivable - and which quickly shoot them out with HR staff.

Survey of 1,100 HR professionals on application errors

A survey of HR employees in the USA has shown which mistakes make HR staff's pulse skyrocket or at least go down very badly.

The market research company The Harris Poll asked around 1,100 HR managers on behalf of the online job exchange Careerbuilder in June and July 2018 which are the most common application errors they come across at work.

Applicants should avoid lies at all costs

The frightening thing: Around

75 percent of those surveyed said they had already uncovered obvious lies in their application

.

But these lies can quickly become a problem, because "the chance of getting caught is high," says Michael Erwin, senior career advisor at CareerBuilder.

In his opinion, it is quite natural to exaggerate a little in your résumé and pretend that you have better skills and more experience than is actually the case.

"However, the short-term benefits that one could get by deceiving employment can have long-term consequences that

can seriously damage

a

career,

" continues Erwin.

Applicants should therefore avoid lies at all costs (which lies in the résumé are quickly revealed anyway. Read here).
