From today it will be a woman to lead the British agency Reuters: Alessandra Galloni.

Galloni, who is 47 and born in Rome, will take over from Stephen J. Adler, who has headed Reuters since 2011, who will retire at the end of April.

Graduated from Harvard University in 1995 with a master's degree from the London School of Economics in 2002, Galloni speaks 4 languages and has worked at Reuters since 2013. Before that she had worked for 13 years at the Wall Street Journal as a correspondent from London, Paris and Rome.
He takes the helm of Reuters, which has a worldwide staff of about 2,450 journalists, in a time of challenges.
Since 2008, Reuters has been part of the Thomson Reuters Corp.
