A study now shows what consumers will be concerned about in 2021.
Kempten - accommodation ban, risk areas and compulsory testing for air travelers - relaxed vacation is the exception in times of the coronavirus.
Anyone who can afford a trip financially and does not just want to explore their own balcony must comply with numerous safety measures to avoid infection with Covid-19 and thus a further worsening of the situation.
Nevertheless, there are now some model projects that want to reopen their doors with extensive test concepts - and so could bring hope to the battered tourism industry.

The Bavarian Center for Tourism wanted to know to what extent Germans are longing for new perspectives: With the help of the market research institute GfK, the company carried out a survey of just over 2,000 respondents between the ages of 18 and 74 in March 2021.
For 59% of the study participants, who normally like to travel, vacation 2020 was completely canceled, 30% at least recorded a vacation trip.
The most frequent destinations: Inner German places, followed by Austria and Italy.

Will vaccination and test concepts make travel easier in 2021?
39% of the respondents definitely want to spend a holiday outside their home environment in 2021, 28% would like to travel, but are still waiting with the actual planning.
What would benefit the decision of those who are still hesitant to date: 50 percent of them would travel in 2021 if their return home was not associated with a prescribed quarantine.
The lifting of official travel warnings and existing vaccination protection for travelers and the general population would also lead to increased travel volumes.
Another point that obviously creates uncertainty: will it be expensive if a trip cannot be carried out as planned?
"People who are still waiting to travel in 2021 or who will not travel due to the Corona situation in 2021 would travel if it is ensured that no costs are incurred if the booked trip cannot be commenced.
For almost a third, it must be ensured that the trip can be started or does not have to be broken off, ”says the report on the study results.

Most of those who want to travel aim for the summer months of July, August or September, and holiday apartments and holiday homes are particularly popular as accommodation.
72% of those who definitely want to travel plan their arrival and departure by car.
The ultimate goal of those who love to travel: Sun and warmth, relaxation, time for each other and distance from everyday life, for example through experiences in nature.
Both groups somehow agree: Those who do not travel, hope for a few cozy days at home just as much as those who are drawn to far away.
60% of people who do not want to travel simply want to rest at home - supplemented by day trips and visits to relatives.
