(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, APRIL 13 - From next May 23 Israel will allow groups of tourists to enter the country: the first step in the reopening of the country to non-citizens. This was announced by the tourism minister Orit Farkash-Hacohen and that of health care Yuli Edelstein who have reached an agreement in this sense. The choice to favor groups has been explained by the fact that they are more controllable. In addition to vaccination, tourists will be asked for a negative swab before departure and on arrival in Israel and also a serological test that demonstrates the presence of antibodies.
The two ministers said the government will continue to negotiate with other countries for the mutual recognition of vaccines in order to avoid the serological test. (HANDLE).
