(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, APR 13 - "Our support for multilateralism is central to our foreign policy": said Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio speaking from Washington at the virtual celebrations for the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and the USA .
"We intend to work in all relevant multilateral fora together with the US and our partners to increase ambitions on climate change, access to vaccines and promote an economically and socially sustainable recovery", he added, after recalling the values shared by Italy and Use.
"Italy's commitment to NATO remains resolute" reiterated Minister Di Maio.
"As allies we are resolute in our commitment to protect our collective security and to work together to maintain international peace and stability", he added, recalling the Italian contribution to security in the international arena, from Afghanistan to Libya, from Lebanon to the 'Iraq.
