Maisie Williams was elected H & M's Sustainability Ambassador, and will promote various virtual initiatives throughout the year.
H&M is coming out with a unique move with international actress Maisie Williams, or as you know her: Arie Stark in the "Game of Thrones" series.
As part of the move, it has been selected as the brand's sustainability ambassador, and will promote various virtual initiatives during 2021, to promote recycling and reusable clothing processes.
"I'm excited. It's time to take action and create fashion production circles that will preserve the planet for future generations," said Maisie Williams.
In the first phase, its digital twin - Avatar Maisie, created by 3D animation artists - is launched this morning (Tuesday) all over the world.
The real Maisie and Avatar Maisie will appear several times throughout the year on different platforms, together and separately, to encourage customer engagement in recycling initiatives.
Maisie and her avatar's first joint venture is to promote recycling awareness among children and teens, and the original way to reach children's hearts is by launching the new episode of the popular game "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" exclusive to the Nintendo Switch console.
Players on the island will be exposed to more information on the subject of recycling, and will share their views on circular fashion.
Starting this morning, gamers from around the world will also be able to meet Maisie, who is herself an avid actress and fan of the game "" Animal Crossing, on Looop Island, along with Pascal Baron, H & M's Global Sustainability Manager.
