(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, APR 13 - Kim Potter, the policewoman who fired the fatal blow that killed the twenty-year-old African American from Minneapolis Daunte Wright, resigned, and so did the police chief of the Brooklyn Center department, the suburb where it happened the fact. Potter, 48, was a veteran serving in the department for 26 years. According to the thesis supported by the police, he mistakenly mistaken the gun for the taser. Immediately after the killing of Daunte Wright it had been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. Daunte Wright, "he should have been alive," said US Vice President KamalaHarris. "Our country needs justice, and the highest standards of responsibility must apply to law enforcement. And people - continued Harris - will continue to love if we do not decisively address the problem of racial injustices and inequalities". (HANDLE).
