The US will not gain any advantage in nuclear talks through "acts of sabotage" or "sanctions"
.
This is the warning launched by the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohamamd Javad Zarif,
at a press conference in Tehran 48 hours after the accident at the Natanz nuclear power plant.
"Americans need to know that neither sanctions nor acts of sabotage will give them a negotiating tool and that these actions will only further complicate the situation for them," Zarif said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes the Iran nuclear deal can be saved and condemns the EU sanctions imposed on Tehran,
arguing that they could jeopardize the talks. "We expect the agreement to be preserved," Lavrov said during the press conference in Tehran with his Iranian colleague Zarif, hoping for the US to return to its commitments and the implementation of the UN resolution. He then condemned the recent EU sanctions, arguing that they "raise many questions".
