The TV broadcaster Sat.1 takes the first episode of the second season of "Celebrities under palm trees - I do everything for money!" From its media library.

“Prince Marcus von Anhalt made unacceptable homophobic statements.

We have tried to classify these statements in the context of and after the broadcast.

But we have to state: This classification was not sufficient, "said a Sat.1 spokeswoman for the German press agency on Tuesday.

“That's why we decided to remove the episode online from all platforms.

Prince Marcus von Anhalt will not take place in any future show on Sat.1. «The reality show had sparked outrage since Monday evening.

"Celebrities under palm trees" is about celebrities living together and competing against each other.

They are gradually voting out residents, candidate Marcus Prinz von Anhalt had to go first.

The trained butcher and former brothel owner, who was adopted by Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt for money, was anti-gay drag queen Katy Bähm, who is behind the Berliner Burak Bildik.

Among other things, he called kisses from two men "disgusting" and used homophobic swear words.

He was the first to get out what Sat.1 commented on Twitter that it was a good thing.

“We understand your indignation.

We discussed this for a long time, but it is also an important topic that must not be concealed - as Katy herself says, "Sat.1 justified itself on Twitter and quoted Katy Bähm:" We need this clarification in this world.

That's why what happened here is real.

This is what the community experiences day in and day out.

If it ensures that there is a little bit of a better world outside, I'm happy. "

Already in 2020 the show caused a stir because Claudia Obert was made ready in front of the cameras by roommates like Carina Spack, Matthias Mangiapane and Bastian Yotta.

Many spoke of bullying TV.

At that time, too, an episode was taken from the media library.

Sat.1 distanced itself from the winner Yotta in a similar way as it does now from Prince von Anhalt: »On its own behalf: Sat.1 basically distances itself from all sexist statements glorifying violence.

Further productions with Bastian Yotta are not planned. ”An older video had appeared in which Yotta had expressed herself hostile to women and downplayed sexual harassment.
