Eazy Sleazy, a hymn to freedom and satire on conspiracy theory, was composed during British lockdown by the boss of the Stones.

"

Open the windows and open the doors!"

Mick Jagger screams this incantation in a breathtaking and humorous new track,

Eazy Sleazy

, composed with Dave Grohl, strongman of the Foo Fighters.

A breath of fresh air for all of us, after a year of pandemic, confinement and gloom.

In an interview with

Rolling Stones

, the leader of the eponymous group recounts the genesis of his new single, raves about his freedom regained since deconfinement in the United Kingdom and attacks conspiracy theories.

“I wrote the lyrics very quickly

,” says the British singer.

On the pandemic and the hope of getting out of this ordeal.

The chorus is like the light at the end of the tunnel.

It sounded really good and I thought, "You have to take it out now because it won't be good in three or six months."

He immediately turned to Dave Grohl, who jumped at the chance to alleviate the boredom of the days of confinement, after the Foo Fighters released their tenth album,

Medicine at Midnight

, in February.

It's hard to put words into what it means to me to record this song with Mick.

It is beyond a dream that comes true.

The result: sizzling guitars and screaming rock.

It must be said that the indefatigable Jagger must have felt very lonely during these long months, sitting on his sofa, he who will celebrate his seventy-eight years in July.

“All year long, we endured this and we went through different emotions;

with false starts, stops, openings and closings.

At the end of last summer, everything seemed to be fine, people were out and everything was fine, then, especially in Europe, everything stopped again… ”

For his part, Grohl was particularly moved by the result of their collaboration.

He took it upon himself to write for guitar, drums and bass, while Mick concentrated on vocals and guitar.

Still at

Rolling Stones

, he said,

“It's hard to put words into what it means to me recording this song with Mick.

It is beyond a dream that comes true.

Just when I thought life couldn't get crazier… and that's the song of the summer, without a doubt! ”

This is not the first time that the two artists have collaborated.

A guest on the 2012

Saturday Night Live show

, Jagger called on the Foo Fighters as a backing band.

A year later, is that Grohl joined Stones on stage in Anaheim, California, to play guitar and sing

Bitch

Deeply anti- “

anti-vaxxers”

and appalled by the smoky theories he hears all day long, including those close to him, Mick sings that

is in my blood”

,

“the earth is flat and cold”

, and questions the late arrival of the second dose.

And hopes that

"soon all this will be just a memory that you will have to remember to forget"

.

Always questioned by

Rolling Stones

, he loses his temper against vaccine specters:

“Even a country like France which in the 18th century was proud of its rationality has become the most anti-vaccine country in Western democracy.

It's not like

[vaccines]

are new!

When I was a child, which is a long time ago, people died of polio.

They just weren't there the next day.

And that was slowed down, thanks to vaccines. "

When will there be a new vaccine controversy for a new single?
