Hours after the Minister of Health affirmed that the country is going through "a critical moment" due to the
second wave
of the pandemic, the Government confirmed
25,157 new cases
of coronavirus in Argentina on
Wednesday
.
And it released another
368 deaths
, the highest number since late November.
It arises from the daily part published by the Ministry of Health, based on the data that the provinces uploaded to the national system (SISA) in the last 24 hours.
With more than 2.5 million accumulated infections and after exceeding 58 thousand deaths, Argentina remains among the
15 most affected countries
-in absolute numbers- since the beginning of the global health crisis.

"It is the
most difficult
message
I have to give since the pandemic began. We are at a
critical moment
, not only from the health point of view, but also from the economic point of view, from the emotional point of view," said Minister Carla Vizzotti at a press conference at the Pink House.
In the same vein, he asked the population to avoid and postpone any activity that is not essential.
"Let's just go out to work, to take the kids to school. That nothing that can be left for the future be done," he asked.
Although he said they have "expectations" that it will be completed soon, he admitted that
they have not confirmed
the arrival of new shipments of vaccines.

The Province of Buenos Aires, which accumulates more than 1.1 million infected, plans to apply
new restrictions
in the coming days.
This was anticipated by the Buenos Aires Minister of Government, Teresa García.
"I estimate that by this weekend
we already have to have measures,
